29-year-old Eddie B. Thomas Jr., of Silver Spring, Maryland, crashed his car in the 400 block of Idaville York Springs Road in Huntington Township around 2 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, the criminal complaint filed by state police details.

Thomas allegedly was going to the home for help but when he knocked on the front door and the resident opened it a crack, he forced his way in and became "extremely violent," punching the homeowner three times in the head, pushing him in furniture, and ripping his shirt off, as stated in the complaint.

A neighbor came to help and forced Thomas outside, deadbolting the door but Thomas allegedly violently broke down smashing it off the frame by using his shoulder, as detailed in the complaint.

His rampage continue as he went to the kitchen and grabbed knives and scissors, then began cutting his arms and wrists, according to the police.

That's around when state police arrived, finding the home in utter disarray with a large kitchen knife with blood on it near the front steps, the front of the home damaged as the frame and door lay in the entryway, a trail of blood throughout the first floor, kitchen scissors broken into two pieces with blood on them, a picture frame was knocked off the wall, kitchen drawers pulled out, with random items thrown on the floor, the police detailed in the complaint.

When troopers found Thomas, they asked him to lie down on the floor with his hands behind his back, but he knelt and put his hands up, so the police attempted to guide him to the floor, but instead, he rolled himself down the front steps onto the front porch.

The troopers attempted to use a TASER device on him multiple times, and ended up wrestling with him, the police state in the complaint.

At one point, a trooper was kicked in the chest multiple times and Thomas tried to grab the gun off of another trooper.

A corporal soon arrived and successfully deployed the TASER device, and Thomas was arrested.

One trooper suffered injuries to his head, hip, and wrists, the police say.

Thomas was charged with 13 offenses, including four felonies for burglary, resisting arrest, disarming law enforcement, and trespassing, among other related offenses, his court docket shows.

Additional information was unavailable at the time of publishing as he had yet to be arraigned.
